It is no longer news that Phillipe Coutinho is no longer a Liverpool player.
Right now, manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to sign a new player to replace the Brazilian player, and it appears Thomas Lemar is the one we will see next at Anfield.
The talented player has been strongly linked with a move away from Monaco in recent times, and there are recent speculations that the Anfield club have convinced him to ignore other clubs interested in his signature and move down to Merseyside instead.
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing the Frenchman, but it appears he is destined to play at Anfield.
According to Duncan Castles, Liverpool are about beating other clubs to Lemar’s signature using the same strategy they used in signing Virgil Van Dijk (convincing the player first to move to Anfield, then pay higher than what other rivals are ready to pay)
It was even said that Arsenal are ready to do all it takes to bring him to North London, but Thomas is interested in no other club than Liverpool.
In December, there were reports that any club to get Lemar’s signature will need to pay a fee in the region of £90million for his signature.
