Liverpool and Manchester United set to make summer move for box-to-box midfielder
According to reports in England, Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on signing Victor Wanyama from North London side Tottenham Hotspur during the summer.
Rivals battling for player’s signature
The Daily Mail is claiming that both of the English sides are keeping close tabs on the 26-year-old midfielder, who has been featured sparingly by Tottenham this season.
Indeed, the exciting midfielder has started only two Premier League matches for Tottenham Hotspurs so far this campaign and his lack of regular playing time has allegedly alerted a couple of clubs.
As per the same article, both Liverpool and Manchester United are serious admirers of the Spurs ace and they could be ready to make transfer moves to try and land him this coming summer transfer window.
Limited playing time at Spurs
However, the same story says that the obstacle to any move would be Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
The midfielder has netted just one goal in 10 Premier League matches for Tottenham Hotspur so far this campaign, but his first-team chances have been very limited.
He has only played once in the UEFA Champions League for Tottenham this term, and that was just as a late substitute against Serie A giants Juventus.
He did, play the entire 90 minutes as Spurs grabbed a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace in the English Premier League last Sunday.
