Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has dismissed reports that Marouane Fellaini is on the verge of joining Galatasaray.
The 28-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the Old Trafford in recent days with reports that the Turkish giants are closing on a deal to sign the lanky midfielder after holding positive talks.
Galatasaray sporting director Cenkin Ergun also confirmed that the club have held talks with Fellaini over a potential deal and are hopeful on completing a deal for the player.
However, the Belgian midfielder who starred for United in their 3-0 win over Norwegian side, Valenrenga will not be leaving the Old Trafford anytime soon, according to Jose Mourinho.
It is understood that the imminent arrival of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea could see Fellaini fall further down the pecking order at Old Trafford, with suggestions the Serbian was drafted in to consolidate the efforts of Ander Herrera in the central midfield area while Paul Pogba will be allowed to roam further up the pitch next season.
Fellaini who arrived at United from Everton under former boss David Moyes, has had a mixed experience playing for the Red Devils as large sections of the club fans have criticised his aggressive style of play but he did well to make 39 appearances last season.
