Liverpool Legend: Here Is The Player Mourinho Needs At Old Trafford Right Now

Former Liverpool man Jamie Carragher believes Manchester United need Zlatan Ibrahimovic back right now as Romelu Lukaku continue struggling to score goals.

Lukaku arrived Old Trafford from Everton for £75M and quickly adapt to life at Old Trafford.

He has however not scored a goal in his last six games for his new side, with his last goal coming against Crystal Palace back in September.

During Manchester United’s recent win over Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Jose Mourinho hindered the former Everton striker from taking a penalty, saying there were lots on pressure on the spot kick.

And former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, praising Zlatan’s impact last season, believes Jose Mourinho will be keen to get the Swedish legend back in his team to start providing competition.

Speaking about the former Barcelona striker on Viasat Fotboll on Wednesday night, Jamie heaped lots of praises on the huge player, and admits he is fantastic both on and off the pitch.

“We all love having [Zlatan] in the Premier League.” Carragher said.

Ibra was the top scorer at Manchester United last season with 28 goals in all competitions despite picking the unfortunate injury in April.

The Old Trafford club have handed him a one-year extension, and he is likely to return to full action before the end of this year.
