Midfield Maestro sends strong message to Arsenal concerning Liverpool

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has warned the Gunners that they will need to step up their game if they desire to beat Merseyside giants Liverpool to a top-four spot at the end of the season.

Arsenal lost more ground on Liverpool on Wednesday evening when they were forced to a 2-2 draw by defending Premier League champions Chelsea in an interesting match at The Emirates Stadium.

The derby result left the Gunners in the sixth position in the English Premier League log and five points adrift Liverpool FC, who occupy the fourth position currently.

The Reds have been in superb form recently and have secured four wins in their last five matches in the English top flight, the only time they dropped points was in a 3-3 draw with the Gunners at The Emirates Stadium in December.

The North Londoners will surely have to improve their league performances and results and hope that Jurgen Klopp’s men drop points in their next couple of matches as the race for UEFA Champions League qualification continues.

And Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has warned his teammates that they have to show more consistency and claim victories if they want to finish in the top-four spot.

Arsenal are trying to return to the top four this campaign having finished in the fifth position and had to make do with UEFA Europa League football this season.
