According to former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is the most overrated player on earth. He further stated the North London club got pretty lucky to qualify for the UEFA Europa League round of 16.
Disappointed pundit
Arsenal lost 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium to Ostersunds in a Europa Cup clash on Thursday. Having gone into the match with a 3-0 first-leg lead, many expected another thrashing at North London. However, the team displayed complacency and almost paid dearly as the Swedish outfit led 2-0 at half-time.
Ray Keane was critical of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who led the team against Ostersunds on Thursday night.
Slow Gunners on the night
When asked about Arsenal’s performance on ITV against Ostersunds, ex-footballer turn pundit didn’t hold back saying the Gunners are a great example of how not to begin a football match. He stressed the team’s poor attitude and also reiterated that the side was so slow.
Keane summed it up by stating the team lacked energy, desire that you require from your senior players to lead the team by example.
He said he feels the captain on the night Jack Wilshere is probably the most overrated player in World football.
