Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho visited Italy and his visit has raised up lots of rumours. Many news sources are already linking the Portuguese boss’ visit with Inter Milan stars – the duo of Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic.
Just of recent, Italian news outlet La Gazetta Dello Sport reported that Manchester United will have to bring out 60 million euros or above to sign Ivan Perisic. However, according to the latest reports, the former Inter Milan coach is heavily linked with the duo of Perisic and Brozovic.
The United manager claimed his visit to Italy is just to enjoy the sun in the country. Yet, it was suggested that the manager is in the country to learn more about the pair and to also speed up contact with their agents.
WHAT CAN THEY DO?
Marcelo Brozovic is a versatile talent who can be used anywhere in the midfield, while Perisic is a player who could effectively play anywhere in the attacking third. Therefore without doubt, both of them have what it takes to improve Jose Mourinho’s team.
While Brozovic could be a long term replacement for Michael Carrick at the midfield, Ivan on his part would further add strength to United’s attack.
However, Mourinho would need to spend much if he really needs them. Marcelo, even though bought for 8 million euros from Dinamo Zagreb, now he has a release clause of 50 million euros in his contract at the Milan club.
It was stated that due to the technicalities behind Brozovic’s contract, it would be easier for Man United to get him, compared to Perisic. Also the club is said to value Perisic much more than Brozovic and that the Serie A club won’t consider selling him if not offered anything above 60 million Euros.
