Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino promised that England international Harry Kane would be fully fit to play for Spurs against the Gunners in the first north London derby of the season on November 18.
Kane had to withdraw from the England team for Friday’s friendly match with World Champions Germany and next Tuesday’s international friendly with South American side Brazil as a precaution, after sustaining a knee injury during Sunday’s 1-0 victory over bottom side Crystal Palace. But Mauricio Pochettino, talking at his book launch ‘Brave New World’ at Tottenham Hotspurs Enfield training ground, confirmed that the Spurs star striker would recuperate fully for the match in 10 days’ time.
Harry Kane missed the 1-0 loss to Manchester United on October 28 as a precaution with a hamstring problem.
There are two other Spurs absentees from England’s games, with Harry Winks and Spurs star Dele Alli both out of Gareth Southgate’s squad. Dele Alli did not report to training, after missing Tottenham’s match with Crystal Palace with a hamstring problem, but the Spurs boss is confident that he too will be completely fit for the Arsenal match.
Harry Winks, who got injured in the first half against Crystal Palace, was scanned at the beginning of the week at Enfield. He also pulled out of England’s friendlies but the injury is not thought to be very bad and he should be able to start against Arsenal next week Saturday as well.
