I never knew about United interest – World Cup hero
Columbian defender Yerry Mina has stated that he never knew about the interest coming from Manchester United for him.
Yerry Mina admitted that he just learnt of the interest, adding that his agent might have been contacted but nothing got to him.
United are still in shock that a player will dump the Old Trafford despite knowing the history of the club for Everton after Yerry Mina had a deadline day transfer with a fee reported to be £27 million.
However, Yerry Mina has yet to make a full debut for Everton having joined the club with an injury he sustained during the World Cup with his countryside.
Yerry Mina was expected to add to the defence as demanded by manager Mourinho who was keen on additions at the back.
The inability of the Portuguese manager to have his wish come to be in the last summer resulted in a bust-up with the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward
Mourinho had predicted a difficult season for his side as a result of the summer transfer failure and that eventually happened with the Red Devils struggling at the start of the season.
Although the situation has improved now with some wins, United are still expected to storm the winter market for more additions come January.
