According to new reports, Lyon have made the decision to allow Nabil Fekir join any club he desire after the World Cup in Russia.
The French international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 side after he emerged as a target for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Despite Lyon announcing last month that they won’t sell him any more this summer, Fekir remains consistently in the news due to his links with the Anfield club.
The player was on the verge of completing a switch to Anfield before Lyon decided to pour cold water on the deal as a result of Liverpool’s concerns over the condition of his knees.
The Anfield club have sent officials to Paris to conduct a medical for Nabil before he travelled to Russia for the World Cup. They however found some issues with one of his knees and decided to renegotiate his fee with Lyon – an act which the Ligue 1 side found annoying.
However, the French club have paved the way for Nabil to depart the club this summer if he wishes, and manager Bruno Gensio has confirmed that the management won’t hinder the skipper from moving elsewhere to upgrade his game.
Fekir was impressive at Lyon last season and will definitely add lots of quality to Jurgen Klopp’s squad at Anfield.
