Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has revealed that he won’t block unsettled winger Ovie Ejaria from leaving the Scottish Premier League giants.
Gerrard spoke about Ovie Ejaria during his pre-match press conference ahead of the league game against Hamilton on Sunday.
The 21-year-old is said to be unsettled at the club and that he’s keen to return to England.
Nigerian-born English player Ejaria is on a season-long loan from Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The winger has made 28 appearances for Rangers in all competitions.
Ovie Ejaria didn’t travel with the Rangers squad to Austria for their Europa League clash with Rapid Wien on Thursday night.
Rangers were knocked out of the competition following a 1-0 loss to the Austrians.
With the latest development, Ovie Ejaria might have played his last game for the Scottish giants.
He would be the second Rangers loanee to go back to his club after Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq was sent back to Italian Serie A giants AS Roma after four appearances.
The loan spell of Umar Sadiq was cut short for non-performance on the path of the Nigerian.
Steven Gerrard would be hoping to bring in reinforcements when the transfer window reopens in the bid to maintain his team’s push for the league title.
