According to new reports, Chelsea will finalize the signing of Billy Gilmour from Rangers next week.
A handful of top European clubs (Including Barcelona and Arsenal) have been competing to get the 15-year-old’s signature, but it was the West London club Chelsea that finally emerged at the top.
It has been confirmed that the teenager and his family had decided to join the Stamford Bridge club, and he will sign a deal next week.
His Scottish club has reportedly agreed to a deal worth £600,000 with the Blues management last month, and the wonder kid is set to travel to London next week to put pen to paper.
He has impressed during a trial spell with the Premier League club earlier this season, and he can now officially make the move when he turns 16 come June.
It was added that had Gilmour moved away from the summer, Rangers could have made just £90,000 in compensation.
Sure, Chelsea got one of the best football academies in the world that helps youngsters bring out the best in themselves. Their youth sides are known for their superb performances in youth competitions across Europe, and they help young players grow.
Gilmour never made a bad choice coming to Chelsea. All he need to do is focus and work very hard.
