There are reports that the Stamford Bridge club are planning to raid Southampton before the window eventually closes on the last day of this month.

It was made known that three Southampton stars have been targeted.

The Italian tactician needs more options, particularly considering that he has successfully brought back Champions League football to Stamford Bridge after winning the premier league trophy in his first season at the club and in England.

And according to The Express, the west London club want the trio of Virgil van Dijk, Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand.

Dutch defender Van Dijk has been linked with a move away from the Saints for most of the summer and it is understood that the 60M-valued player is keen on a move.

Also, Englishman Ryan Bertrand has been linked with making a return to Stamford Bridge after evolving into one of the best defenders when he joined Southampton.

Additionally, Portugal international Soares is being considered to compete with Nigerian star Victor Moses.

The three players could cost the premier league champions as much as £150million, but apart from Van Dijk, it is unlikely that Southampton will sell the other two.
