Everton vs. Tottenham: Stalemate at Goodison Park looks more like it

North London club Tottenham Hotspur have made a patchy start to the new English Premier League campaign and according to bookies, may be set to settle for a draw against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last four visits to Everton’s home ground, but three of those matches ended in a draw.

The Merseysiders were doing well until appearing to have their weak points exposed in a 2-0 defeat at Chelsea before the international break.

That match at Stamford Bridge came at the end of a rough week which saw the Merseyside team draw 1-1 away to Billionaire club Manchester City and Hajduk Split.

Spurs season-long move to Wembley Stadium has not commenced well, with the North Londoners beaten 2-1 by the Blues at the prestigious national stadium and then forced to a 1 – 1 draw at home in the hands of Burnley.

The summer signing of Swansea City forward Fernando Llorente, Paris Saint Germain defender Serge Aurier and Argentine center defender Juan Foyth should serve Tottenham well ahead of the start of the UEFA Champions League group stage this month.

Even so, the London club still looks a touch short of last campaign’s good form.
