Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has given an update on his new contract talks with the Blues amidst transfer rumours linking him with a big move to European champions Real Madrid.
The Belgian international player revealed that both parties (Chelsea and Eden Hazard) have stopped contract talks.
Hazard, 27, talked about his future at Chelsea in a chat with French radio station RMC Sport.
The former Lille star also said that he’s still taking his time to decide whether his long-term future will be at Chelsea or not.
Eden Hazard then threw Chelsea fans into a state of anxiety as he talked up a dream move to Real Madrid.
He has been heavily touted as a potential signing for European champions Real Madrid dating back to the summer when Portuguese international skipper Cristiano Ronaldo left the club for Italian Serie A giants Juventus.
Eden Hazard was one of the players mentioned as a possible replacement for the 33-year-old during the summer.
The Paris Saint Germain (PSG) duo of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, as well as Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling, were all touted as potential signings to offset the loss of Ronaldo to Juventus.
The former Manchester United forward Ronaldo secured a club-record transfer of around €100m to the Old Lady in the summer.
