Premier League giants Arsenal have confirmed that Rob Holding has agreed to a new long-term deal with the North London club having done just enough to impress club fans, coaches and board alike.
A lot of matches under his belt
Holding, 22, joined the Emirates side back in 2016 from former Premier League side Bolton Wanderers, and has gone on to play 42 matches for the team in all competitions.
Although the defender did impress initially as he slotted perfectly well into the Arsenal back three, the centre-half has had some poor moments which are expected from a young defender adjusting to the English top flight league.
Notwithstanding, it looks like the Englishman has done just enough to earn the club’s trust moving forward, according to the tweet on the official twitter handle of the club.
Contract detail made confidential
The duration of the fresh deal was not disclosed as well as how much he will earn weekly, as expected, but the Gunners have shown a big deal of faith in the youngster and the defender will now be under severe pressure to repay the belief.
Rob will have to prove his worth under a new coach next term considering Arsene Wenger has said that he will leave his position as manager at the conclusion of the current season.
