Real Madrid manager Zinedine has set his sights on Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante ahead of this summer’s transfer window according to the publication from the Daily Express.
It was revealed that Real Madrid will move for Kante if the Los Merengues are unable to do a deal for international teammate Paul Pogba who plays his club football for Premier League giants Manchester United.
According to the Daily Express, Real Madrid are already compiling their dossier on French World Cup winner Kante and they will firm up their interest in him if they are unable to lure Pogba away from Manchester United.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be willing to do a deal for Kante who recently signed a new contract at the club.
Kante is one of the two world-class players at Chelsea alongside star man Eden Hazard and both players are on the radar of outgoing European champions Real Madrid.
N’Golo Kante signed a new deal earlier this season to make him the highest paid player in the Blues’ history with weekly wages of £290,000.
The French destroyer signed for Chelsea in 2016 and he won the league title in his first season but he has been asked to play a different midfield role under current manager Maurizio Sarri.
