According to Italian media reports, West London side Chelsea have submitted an offer to land Juventus star Daniele Rugani.
Juventus confirm Chelsea offer for starlet
Italian publication Calciomercato is claiming that Juventus have received an offer from Stamford Bridge for their defender Rugani.
The same report states that the blues have tabled and offer of €30m to land the Italy international defender in an attempt to reinforce their backline ahead of the new English Premier League season.
According to the same report, Chelsea will face stiff competition from rivals Arsenal for the 22-year-old in the present transfer market.
However, the same Italian media outfit suggest that Chelsea are still €10million short of Juventus demand for Rugani.
Chelsea seek reinforcement
The Blues are looking to strengthen their team following a fifth-spot end in the English Premier League last term to miss out on a UEFA Champions League place.
Chelsea did end the season on a positive note under Italian tactician Antonio Conte after a 1-0 victory against Premier League rivals Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup final in May at Wembley Stadium.
The former Premier League champions won the League title in Antonio Conte’s debut campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge, but major doubts remain about his Chelsea future.
