Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is obviously not the most happiest manager in the world right now, especially after yesterday’s unpleasant encounter.
The Italian manager has admitted his side won’t find it easy to overtake Manchester City after their disappointing 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The game at Selhurst Park has left Chelsea nine points trailing at the back of premier league league leaders Manchester City after the citizens thrashed Stoke City 7-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
The premier league champions are also seven points behind Manchester United who are sitting in the second spot of the table following the red devils 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
And Conte, when asked to make comments about the points gap building between his side and the two Manchester sides, admits the season will be a very difficult one for him in many aspects.
The former Juventus manager also stressed out to club supporters the need to be patient with him, because, according to him, he is trying to build ‘something important for the future’.
“We have to go game by game…we must be focused game by game and try to do our best.” he told Sky Sports (via Metro)
Antonio Conte was able to win the premier league trophy last season despite being his first season at Stamford Bridge and in England, and we will see if he can replicate something close to what he did last term at the end of this campaign.
