Conte Admits: ‘I Need To Replace These Players At Chelsea’

This season, Antonio Conte lost superb players like Oscar, Ivanovic, and John Mikel at Chelsea.

Club captain and veteran John Terry has officially made it known that he is also leaving the Stamford Bridge club at the end of this season.

All of John Terry, Mikel Obi, Branislav Ivanovic, and Oscar, are legends at Chelsea as they profusely helped the English club become one of the best clubs in Europe, and in the world at large.

However, the new Italian manager says the departing stars must be replaced, and he is set to bring in new generation of legends for the club when summer comes.

Antonio Conte insists that this moment at Chelsea is a transitional period and he is set to building good foundations for the club.

He stressed that since the club are recently losing influential stars as Ivanovic, Mikel, Terry, and Oscar, he need to continue building the team and getting new replacements, which, according to him, is something that needs time.

Conte came into Stamford Bridge last summer when Chelsea endured a frustrating campaign that saw them finishing at the tenth position on the premier league table without a trophy.

The former Juventus manager has helped turned the club’s fortunes around for good as Chelsea is set to winning the premier league title and the FA Cup double this season despite being his first campaign at the club.
