English Premier League outfit Arsenal have sealed a deal with Sam Greenwood which happens to be his first professional contract with the club on his 17th birthday on Saturday, Jeorge Bird reports.
Sam Greenwood has been excellent for the Gunners Youth team with his versatile gift which enables him to play as a point man or an attacking midfielder where he has scored a total of six goals and two assists in 12 games at the U18 level.
There is no hope for a first team football for Sam Greenwood but suggestions are that he would soon be handed the opportunity, especially in Cup competitions.
Sam Greenwood has impressed so much that he has attracted a number of suitors whose bids are being expected at the club.
However, there are no chances of the Gunners side releasing Sam Greenwood to any club as he has been identified as a major part of the club’s future alongside other young talents.
Meanwhile, the North London outfit could be forced to send Sam Greenwood out on loan so as to hand him regular playing time as well as continue his progress.
