One of the hottest talents in the English League Ethan Ampadu has been a target for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte in recent weeks.
Following such link to Chelsea, Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale has come out to play down such rumours linking his player to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Sun, an agreement of about £2.5m has been reached between both clubs but Tisdale has refused to make any comment concerning the deal.
Speaking to Express and Echo, Tisdale insisted that the 16-year old defensive midfielder needs to focus on current campaign.
“He’s got to concentrate this year on his GCSEs – he’s a member of our first-team, and any business that Exeter City decide to do will not be conducted in the press.
“At this stage, he belongs to Exeter City.
“We continue to produce with frequency players who are technically able.
“It increases all the time and the basic ability levels of players is rising all the time.
“It’s to the credit of Simon Hayward and the academy set up and the coaches who work with him.
“It’s been developing all the time – I’m in my 11th year now and every year it gets better.
“I think it certainly gives credit to the continuity and consistency of coaching staff at the club that we’re able to produce these very young players.”
The Blues currently have over 30 young stars that are out on loan, and I personally think Chelsea should focus more on getting the best from on-loan young stars rather than adding more.
