According to Daily Mail, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte looks prepared to play a strong team in their League Cup tie against managerless Premier League side Everton as he plans to build on Saturday’s 4-2 English Premier League win over Watford with a good performance in the Carabao cup.

Summer signing Danny Drinkwater who is nursing a calf injury, midfield maestro N’Golo Kante [hamstring] and Nigerian Victor Moses [hamstring injury] will all be missing in action once again, giving fringe players such as Italian Davide Zappacosta, goalkeeper Willy Caballero, winger Kenedy and Charly Musonda who all started the Blues 5-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in the previous round the chance to play.

Belgium international forward Eden Hazard, French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and attacking midfielder Cesc Fabregas all look set for first team action on Wednesday night.

On the other hand, Everton star Idrissa Gueye will miss the action due to suspension for their trip to Stamford Bridge. The Senegal international was red carded in the Toffees’ loss to the Gunner last weekend, a result which led to manager Ronald Koeman’s sacking on Monday.

Morgan Schneiderlin and McCarthy are fit for selection and could help ease the suspension of Senegalese Idrissa Gana Gueye.

Everton’s long-term absentees include Ross Barkley, Ramiro Funes Mori, Yannick Bolasie and Seamus Coleman.
