Premier League duo Chelsea and Tottenham are among the clubs keeping close tabs on Newcastle United skipper Jamaal Lascelles, as per reports in England.

The Daily Mirror is claiming that both Chelsea and Tottenham are considering summer swoop for the 24-year-old as both Premier League sides look to reinforce their teams ahead of next campaign.

The same article, though, says that Merseysider’s Everton have also entered the race to land the Newcastle United Captain.

He has been in brilliant form for Newcastle United this term and has netted three goals in 32 English Premier League matches for the Magpies.

The defender is tied to the Magpies until the summer of 2023 after penning a fresh six-year deal at the club last October.

Chelsea set for major reinforcement this summer

The Blues are likely to be in the market for a number of players this summer transfer window after a disappointing second campaign under Italian tactician Antonio Conte at the West London club.

The 2017 Premier League champions have struggled for consistency in the Premier League this season, leaving them in the fifth position heading into the last round of matches this season.

The West London club will look to try and finish the campaign with a major trophy by defeating Premier League giants Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup final later in the month.
