Liverpool striker Divock Origi could move to the Spanish La Liga this season after it was revealed that Real Betis was interested in signing him.
The interest in him was confirmed by Spanish news outlet AS.
Divock Origi is enjoying some sort of renaissance with the Reds following his return to Anfield after last season’s loan spell at German Bundesliga side VFL Wolfsburg.
The Belgian international player was on a season-long loan at Bundesliga team Wolfsburg.
Real Betis will have to contend with newly promoted Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers who are also keen to have the 23-year-old in their ranks.
Wolves interest in the player could be traced back to the summer.
The Midland club wanted to splash the sum of £20m on him during this summer’s transfer market but nothing came out of Wolves’ interest.
Divock Origi has started featuring for the Liverpool team after finding it difficult initially.
He made his first appearance of the season as a substitute during the surprising 2-0 loss at the hands of their hosts Red Star Belgrade FC of Serbia.
Divock Origi also came on a substitute for his second appearance of the season and he made a telling contribution as he scored the only goal of the game in the last-minute 1-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
He has now made three appearances for Liverpool this season in all competitions.
