According to reports, some players in the Chelsea team are against the manner Antonio Conte handled Diego Costa’s future at the club.
The Sun says some of Costa’s team-mates at Chelsea believes the manager was wrong to inform the striker of his ‘sack’ through a short text message. They felt the Italian manager should have talked about it in a face-to-face meeting with the Brazilian-born star.
It appears Antonio Conte took the decision without carrying along the Chelsea board as the Daily Mail are also reporting that the Chelsea board were stunned both by the Italian’s decision and by Diego’s desire to swiftly make the news public.
The Spanish striker revealed two days ago he has been told by Antonio Conte that he is not part of his first-team plans next term and is free to leave for elsewhere. And some of the Chelsea stars are reportedly not happy with this.
Since the news is now public, the implication is that potential buyers will know the west London club are desperate to sell and might go on bringing a low price to the table.
The Spanish forward has been linked with a return back to Atletico Madrid but the Madrid club is still suffering a transfer ban. He is therefore open to joining another league and talks have reportedly begun with Serie A heavyweights, AC Milan.
