Diego Costa has been in the news recently, especially since he revealed Antonio Conte’s text message asking him to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
And Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola, speaking about the situation is of the opinion that Antonio Conte should replace the Spanish forward with Andrea Belotti should he leave in the summer transfer.
Costa is expected to make a return back to his former Spanish club Atletico Madrid, even though he was linked with a move to Chinese Super League during the past January transfer window.
And Chelsea’s hero Zola heaped praise on the 28-year-old but understands the problems keeping hold of Costa.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Zola hailed Costa as a huge player who is capable of doing everything. He, however, concluded that Diego is difficult to manage.
Torino star player Andre Belotti has been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United for some time, and it is understood that the two clubs will be vying for his signature in the coming months.
In the just concluded Serie A season, the Italian striker, in 35 games for Torino, scored 26 goals and provided 7 assists.
Unlike Man United and Man City, Chelsea are yet to make a major summer signing but are believed to be closing in on the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
