According to reports, both Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Boro star player Dael Fry and are set to make a move for him when the winter transfer window open.
The defender spent the first half of last term at Rotherham, but his contract at the club was terminated at the beginning of this year after he was only able to make just ten starts.
However, the 20-year-old has broken into the first-team at Middleborough this season and has been so impressive at the Championship side.
His impressive performances has caught the attention of top premier league sides, including Chelsea and Manchester United who are now monitoring his situation at the club (via Daily Mail).
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is understood to still need some defensive reinforcements in his team at Old Trafford, and Fry has been seen as a player worthy to play in the club.
Dael was invited to the England Under-21 side for the first time last month and was part of the side that clashed with Netherlands.
Apart from Fry, Premier league champions Chelsea are also understood to be interested in the youngster’s centre-back partner at Middleborough, Ben Gibson. However, they chose to sign Antonio Rudiger from AS Roma for an initial fee of £29million during the summer transfer window.
