Chelsea have joined the race to sign Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac in the January transfer window.
The defender has been linked with a move with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus understood to be vying for his signature and the Blues have also entered the race.
It is understood that the Blues are ready to move for Kolasinac due to the scarcity of options in the left back position which has currently occupied by summer signing Marcos Alonso who has been deployed as a left wing-back in their 3-4-3 formation.
Chelsea are also monitoring a move for Cologne left-back Jonas Hector but has identified Kolasinac as a better option due to his impressive form in the Bundesliga.
Blues boss Antonio Conte is believed to ready to beat other rival clubs to the Bosnia international as he sets to sights on continuing his side’s march towards the Premier League title.
Chelsea have also set sights on West Ham United full-back Michail Antonio as they look hope strengthen on the right-hand side of the defence but the Hammers are said to be unwilling to let their stand out performer for them so far, even playing as a centre-forward this season as they look to regain their form.
