Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has expressed his appreciation to his Liverpool counterpart Jurgen Klopp after the German labelled the former Siena and Juventus boss as the “Pep Guardiola of Turin.”
Conte showered praises on Klopp in an interview with the official website of his Stamford Bridge outfit as follows: “For sure this is a great compliment and I think Klopp said this because I had the possibility in three years to build this clear idea of football at Juventus.”
“I know I put a lot of passion and study into my football, to improve and to build new solutions, and I know that I put a lot of time each day into my work, but I don’t know if I am up the top of this [Super Manager] table or at the bottom!” he concluded.
Antonio Conte has made a great start to his managerial career at Chelsea with an impressive 11 wins from 14 league matches (34 points) culminating in his team’s rise to the top of the table while Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side are not far behind in 3rd spot with 30 points as the Anfield giants have won 9 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses from the first 14 games of the season.
