Arsenal’s opportunity of landing Bernd Leno this summer transfer window have seemingly been hugely boosted, with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen willing to offload their goalkeeper.
Arsenal want goalkeeper
The North Londoners have been strongly linked with a move for the German, who has been impressive for Bayern Leverkusen over recent seasons.
However, a whole number of clubs have been heavily linked with transfers for the footballer, as rumour surrounding his Bayern future continues.
This discussion has only been fuelled by the club’s sporting director, Rudi Voller, recently too. As cited by the Mirror, the Bundesliga side’s chief delivered a massive update on the career of Leno.
Club chief sanction move
He said Leno can leave the club but only on when our terms and conditions are met.
Rudi Voller admitted that the German side would be ready to sanction the sale of their number one shot-stopper, but only if a transfer deal is agreed only on their terms.
Czech international goalkeeper Petr Cech has been handed the number one jersey at the North London club ahead of next term but it seems the side are on the search to sign a fresh safe hand regardless of this, with a couple of high-profile mistakes having been committed by the goalkeeper last season.
