The Mirror is reporting that Arsene Wenger has confirmed his interest in signing Monaco star Thomas Lemar as the Gunners prepare to test the French club’s resolve with an improved £45m offer.

A new forward looks to be on the way and the French star has emerged as a prime target recently with reports claiming the Emirate club has already seen two offers rejected by Monaco.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal are now set to table a third and improved offer worth around £45m.
The boss has been talking to newsmen over in Australia after arriving for Arsenal’s pre-season tour, and he’s explained he’s looking to bring in more players before the end of the summer transfer window.
Wenger confirmed Lemar is a prime target but insists there is nothing substantial in the making just yet.
The Monaco forward has developed into one of the most exciting forwards in French football recently, and he enjoyed his most productive season to date after netting 14 goals and assisting up a further 17 last season.
