Ligue 1 Star Turn Down Arsenal and Man Utd for Serie A Giant

According to reports, Blaise Matuidi rejected about three Premier League teams to secure a summer move to Italian Serie A side Juventus.

France Football is reporting that Premier League giants Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City were all keen on the France international.

The same Publication report claim that all the three Premier League heavyweights “made advances” to secure the services of the 30-year-old, but the Frenchman was willing to join the Turin giant.

The Italian Serie A champions first approached his club over a possible transfer in the summer of 2016 and finally secured a £27.8million transfer for the Paris Saint-Germain star last month.

Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi claim of Blaise Matuidi’s departure: “I (Al-Khelaifi ) will always have great (fantastic) memories of (Blaise) Matuidi’s six seasons with our (PSG) club.

“He (Blaise Matuid) is a player who played every match (fixture) with generosity and a permanent desire (intent) to win everything (all), earning admiration from everyone (fans, management and technical crew alike).

“Blaise (Matuidi) will remain in our hearts (mind), and he (Matuidi) will always be welcome in the massive PSG (Paris Saint-Germain ) family.

Blaise Matuidi has played two matches from the substitute bench for Juventus this term and will be hoping to seal first team spot in Max Allegri’s team so he can seal his place for the 2018 France FIFA World Cup team.
