West London giants Chelsea will have to see off German opposition Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg if they want to keep up their hopes of winning a second Europa League title at the end of this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt have been the surprise team of this season’s Europa League title and they showed that it was no fluke in the first half of the game against Chelsea.

Star striker Luka Jovic has been constantly linked with clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona following his good form for the Germans this term.

He opened the scoring for the hosts in the middle of the first half after his stopping header found the back of the net off an assist from Felipe Kostic.

It was the striker’s ninth goal in the Europa League this term.

Luka Jovic has scored 26 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt in all competitions this season.

Chelsea then went on to score a crucial away goal through Spanish international Pedro Rodriguez on the stroke of the halftime interval after good work from Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Chelsea had the chance to score a second away goal but both sides ended up with a 1-1 draw.

Both sides will meet again for the second leg of their Europa League semifinal tie at Stamford Bridge next week Thursday.
