Aston Villa chief Keith Wyness has tagged speculations of Manchester United making an offer of £5million for Keinan Davis as ‘complete fiction’ and an ‘utter rubbish’.
Davis has been so impressive at the Villa Park and has been able to break into the starting XI at the club this season. His impressive performances have reportedly caught the attention of various big premier league sides including Arsenal and Everton.
Keinan has scored two goals in 10 games for Aston Villa in the Championship this season so far, and he’s really doing fine in terms of his developments as a striker.
The Sun claimed recently that Manchester United were also impressed with the young striker’s form and have now joined in the race for his signature.
It was also added that the red devils have made a £5M bid for the young talent – but it failed. The report was implying that Aston Villa received the offer and turned it down.
However, the club’s CEO Keith Wyness has slammed the speculation, branding it as ‘nonsense’.
The drama took place on social media when an Aston Villa fan account tweeted about the rumour, before Keith replied to it with: ‘Utter rubbish’.
And when another supporter asked him to clarify what the ‘rubbish’ is, the chief said everything about the report is ‘complete fiction’.
