According to new reports, Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal is likely the first player Manchester United will sign when summer comes.
The Old Trafford club were able to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January, but couldn’t bring in any other major player before the window was slammed shut on Wednesday night.
Although Sanchez is a superb player who is expected to add lots of quality into Mourinho’s team, the Chilean couldn’t save his new side from being thrashed 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur during his premier league debut on Wednesday.
The red devils are still struggling to keep up with Manchester City on the table, and it is understood manager Jose Mourinho will spend lots of money to bolster his squad this summer.
The Portuguese boss is keen on strengthening his midfield department. Although he signed Paul Pogba from Juventus in the summer of 2016 and also bought Nemanja Matic from Chelsea last summer, Mourinho is losing Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini at the end of this season.
And according to the Manchester Evening News, the Portuguese boss will ask the management to do all it takes to get Arturo Vidal’s signature from Bayern Munich at the end of this season.
The Chilean is also linked with Chelsea, and there were speculations manager Antonio Conte is also interested in working with the player at Stamford Bridge.
