Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side played their UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday night at the Etihad Stadium against Ukranian side Shakhtar Donetsk which put them in a very good position and an advantage going into the clash.

The West London club claimed a last-minute 2-1 win away at La Liga club Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening to top UEFA Champions League Group C with two victories from two matches.
