22-year-old Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a Chelsea football club youth prodigy is irate that his loan move for this season has been blocked by the London club despite interests from French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco and German Bundesliga outfit Shalke 04 who instead opted for Bayern Munich’s Sebastian Rudy .
Despite being assured by the Blues that he is in new manager Maurizio Sarri’s plans this season, the midfielder has only garnered 22 minutes of football and the young man fears that his place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the upcoming Nations League games with Spain and Switzerland due to lack of game time.

With the present Chelsea midfield set-up boasting of players like Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley and Matteo Kovacic on-loan from Real Madrid, it is doubtful if the 22-year-old will be given a starting berth ahead of the other midfielders this season.
Roy Hodgson revealed earlier in the summer the Eagles failed in their attempts to re-sign the midfielder after enjoying so much playing time and impressing at Crystal Palace last season. His form for the Eagles was responsible for Gareth Southgate’s decision to offer him a place in the England squad for the World Cup.
Sarri is optimistic Ruben Loftus-Cheek will stay at the club until January when his future can be reassessed but the versatile midfielder is desperately in need of playing opportunities to continue his development in the game and cement his place in the ‘Three Lions’ squad.
