Recent reports have claimed that German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are plotting a loan bid for underperforming Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata.
Reputable British newspaper, Daily Express revealed that the Spanish international striker has been attracting transfer interest from the Bavarian giants who want to take the Spaniard on a short-term loan until the end of the season and that the loan spell will be evaluated at the end of the season to determine whether the temporary transfer will be made permanent.
Alvaro Morata time in London have largely been disappointing since he moved to Chelsea for his £60m transfer from European champions Real Madrid at the start of last season.
He started his Blues career well before he faded badly in the second half of last season.
The 26-year-old has not been able to get his Chelsea career back on track.
Chelsea strikers Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata have not been in good and consistent goalscoring form for the 2012 Champions League winners thus leading to rumors of a striker addition in this transfer window.
AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in this January transfer window.
Higuain is on loan at AC Milan from Italian Serie A champions Juventus but he’s ready to cut short his loan spell at the San Siro.
