Adnan Januzaj transfer news

Manchester United flop Adnan Januzaj has emerged as a shock target for Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad.

The 22-year-old struggled for form at Old Trafford before his loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland respectively.

Januzaj broke into the first team at United in 2013 with his promising displays that pitched as one of the best youngsters in Europe but his form quickly waded due to inconsistent displays and injuries, sparking criticism from the former boss, David Moyes who complained about his attitude in training.

There are reports that the Belgian winger could be a target for clubs in Europe after getting relegated with Sunderland last season.

Real Sociedad boss Jokin Aperribay has now confirmed their interest but admit they might face competition from other clubs.

He said: “It’s true that we are interested (in Januzaj), but we are not in talks with Manchester or with him.

“We are waiting for the decision of Manchester United and then we will act. There are more teams interested in him and his signing won’t be easy.”

It is understood that Manchester United will demand a transfer fee around £10million for the winger with reports that the likes of AC Milan, Inter, Marseille and Lyon are all vying for his signature.
