Inter Milan star player Joao Mario was heavily linked with a move away from the club before the close of this year’s summer transfer window.
The midfielder was seeking to depart Milan before the start of the next campaign, and it was made known that he desires moving back to the premier league.
Mario was linked with premier league giants Chelsea, but according to reports, he chose to intentionally snub the chance to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Mario played with West Ham last season on loan, and it appears he has developed a bond with the English top flight.
And despite his desire to join an English club this summer, according to new reports, the midfielder rejected a move to Chelsea because of their new boss Maurizio Sarri
It was however clarified that the 25-year-old has nothing personal with manager Sarri, but he chose to do that because he is trying to avoid working under an Italian tactician again.
The Portugal international joined the Milan club for €40 million after his country won the Euro big trophy in 2016.
Joao has unfortunately failed to impress at Inter and will need to patiently wait till January for other sides to bring offers for his services.
