Romelu Lukaku scored a brace during Belgium’s 3-3 draw with Mexico on Friday, and it proved his recent problems at Manchester United is not a personal one but more of a structural one.
Manager Jose Mourinho lost almost all of his first-team midfielders to injury at the same period of time, and he was left with only Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera.
Matic, being a defensive midfielder, can be forgiven. But Herrera who should take care of the attacking build-up is struggling vehemently this season, despite that he won the Man United Player of the Year Award last term.
Therefore, the return of Paul Pogba to full action is one that will bring a smile back to the face of Jose Mourinho.
Although there are some reports the Frenchman might not feature against Newcastle United on Saturday due to the medical team wanting him to rest a bit longer, there are still possibilities of seeing him in action at Old Trafford for the game.
Pogba himself, from all indications, can’t wait to get back on the pitch to do his things. And if he should get into the starting XI on Saturday, here is the lineup we should expect:
GK – David De Gea
DL – Ashely Young
DC – Chris Smalling
DC – Eric Bailly
DR – Valencia
DM – Nemanja Matic
MC – Paul Pogba
AL – Marcus Rashford
AC – Henrikh Mkhitaryan
AR – Juan Mata
FC – Romelu Lukaku
