Alvaro Morata

Chelsea are now reportedly open to the idea of selling Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid in a bid to sign Alvaro Morata next summer.

The Blues were understood to be mulling over the potential departure of Courtois to the Santiago Bernabeu following reports that the Belgian star has had initial talks with Real president Florentino Perez.

However, Chelsea are now believed to be considering a shock sale as they revive their interest in Morata. Antonio Conte is also regarded as a long-term admirer of the striker who he brought to Juventus before he left the Italian side.

Morata has fallen out of favour with Zinedine Zidane and has been benched in recent matches due to his lack lustre performances with reports he is already eyeing a move out of the Santiago Bernabeu.

It is understood that Chelsea are understood to be keen on adding another striker to the current squad in case Diego Costa leaves the Stamford Bridge.

There are reports that a deal could depend on whether or not Benzema stays at the Bernabeu with suggests that the French striker has offers from China.

Arsenal are also believed to have retained their interest in Morata and could rival the Blues for his signature in the next summer transfer window.
