The 18-year-old has been superb this season at the French club, with the premier league trio of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea on his tail already.

The young teenager has scored 22 goals for Monaco and he is reportedly set to join Real Madrid. It was noted that the thought of working with former French international Zidane at Real was a big factor in his decision.

However, Zidane, recently making comments about the young striker, noted that since Mbappe is having a fabulous season at Monaco currently, it is not surprising that the youngster will be subject to lots of speculations like the ones flying about on the media.

Zidane added that as a manager, it’s not a good idea speaking about a player one isn’t coaching, and that his focus is on his own players at his disposal.

Mbappe has played 37 games in all competitions this season for Monaco, and has helped them stay at the top of the French top flight, ahead of PSG.

The French club has also progressed to the Champions League semi-finals and are set to play Juventus in the second leg at Italy, after losing 2-0 at home in the first leg.
