Man United Start Discussion For Potential First Summer Signing

Kylian Mbappe

New reports coming from France revealed that English premier league giants Manchester United have opened talks with Ligue I side Monaco over the signing of one of their stars.

It was claimed that 18-year-old Kylian Mbappe is one of Jose Mourinho’s priorities in his attempt to strength his striking side in the upcoming summer transfer window.

And a popular news outlet in France ‘Le10sport’, insisted that the Old Trafford club have contacted the French club to make their interest known and find out how much to be paid.

They stated that discussions have already been held between Monaco and Man Utd.

Even though Mbappe’s side wants him to stay and plan handing him a new deal (even if he would eventually leave in the summer), it was added also that the Ligue I side will consider an offer that is above €100 million (that is £85.5m).

The young teenager has already been regarded by many as one of the hottest prospects on the planet and he has been linked with a handful of big clubs in Europe.

Manchester United are known to be a club ‘that makes things happen’ with money. Since they can convince players like Ibrahimovic and Pogba to make a move last summer even without Champions League football, it could be difficult for Mbappe to turn them down.

However, the youngster stated that he is happy at Monaco as he has people around him to help keep his feet on the ground.
