Germany used to be one of the strongest football teams in the world but lately, they have gone from worse to worst under coach Joachim Low.

The 2018 world cup in Russia saw the German national squad put up a poor performance by not making it out the group stage.

Looking at their progress in the ongoing Uefa Nations League, a similar situation of what happened in Russia is about to take place.

Germany are at the bottom of their group which consists of France and the Netherlands – And could face relegation if they are unable to defeat France and the Netherlands in the second leg.

The worst moment of Joachim Low as the German National team coach came during the weekend in a game against the Netherlands which ended with three goals to nothing from the ‘Germans machines.’

Below are the reasons behind Germany poor performance.

1. Germany have been repeating the same players and the same style of football

There have been no changes made to the German’s attack, players like Neuer, Boateng, Hummels, Hector, Kroos, and Muller are still playing.

This means the new generation of Draxler, Ter Stegen, Sane and Brandt are still left to watch from the bench.

The current squad are too slow.

2. Bayern Munich poor form

Most of the players in the German national squad are from the struggling Bayern Munich, who are at the 6th spot on the German Bundesliga table.

3. No focal point in the attack

Timo Werner and Mark Uth have not been able to take up attacking role previously covered by Klose and Mario Gomez.
