Both Manchester United and Chelsea are reported to be in the race for the signature of Belgian defender Heritier Deyonge.

Both English clubs are believed to have beaten French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the race for the 16-year-old sensation.

The PSV Eindhoven’s U17 player has attracted attention from the continental elite having impressed so far this season.

The English clubs have taken advantage of the scouting programs to monitor the player and have an idea of how and where they want the defender to come in.

However, according to reports PSG are encouraged by the fact that Heritier has got some traits as Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Should United finally secure Heritier Deyonge’s signature, he would be made to understudy the senior players in the club knowing that he will not be able to cope with the intense level of the Premier League.

Meanwhile, United manager Jose Mourinho has made it public, his intention to have new additions of defenders to the club with expectations that he will storm the winter market for businesses.

United had a very slow start of the season and they are bent on changing the situation of things as they sit eight in the Premier League table.
