Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson has claimed that a move for Italian Serie A outfit Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is a possibility for North London outfit Arsenal.
The Gunners have longed been linked with the player with reports that he would be joining the club in this January winter transfer window.
It has been established that the Gunners manager Unai Emery is keen to strengthen the department and will hope to return with an offer after a failed attempt in the last winter window.
However, the Liverpool legend stated that Kalidou Koulibaly would be a perfect signing for the Gunners who have already lost Rob Holding for the entire season and will need a replacement.

The Sky Sports pundit, therefore, stated that he is confident that Kalidou Koulibaly would be joining one of the English Premier League sides in this winter transfer window.
He noted that he had observed the player when Napoli played Liverpool in the Champions League and became convinced that he will fit into the league.
However, Kalidou Koulibaly is also tipped to worth the £75 million asking price because of the quality he will be bringing to the club, including being strong and being a good competitor.
