Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been accused of stopping Germany national team coach Joachim Low from reaching Mesut Ozil for peace talks in London.

Ozil had announced his decision to stay away from the national team and focus on club football following what he described as unfair treatment from the German football federation.

The former Real Madrid player claimed to be used as a scapegoat for Germany’s poor outing at the Russia 2018 World Cup in addition to protesting racism against him.

“In the eyes of Gindel and his supporters, I am German when we win, but I am an immigrant when we lose”. Those were his words when he decided to quit.

However, Joachim who has made efforts in the past to reach the embattled player since returning from the World Cup failed as the player refused to make himself assessable.

Low Joachim then visited Arsenal training ground after attending the FIFA best player award ceremony that was held in London to speak with Ozil in other to broker peace and see a possible return to the national team.

According to him, he was blocked by the Spanish manager who was bent on respecting Ozil’s decision not speak with anyone from the German football.

Howbeit, Joachim was reported to have settled with Per Mertesacker, Bernd Leno and Shkodran Mustafi who are also German nationals.

The German manager said he is ready to respect Ozil’s decision to move on.
