Arsenal boss Unai Emery has unwittingly stated that German star Mesut Ozil has been the one stopping himself from playing often after claiming that the key to regular football is on his hands.
It is no longer news that the Spanish manager and the former Real Madrid star have fallen out because of the poor performance by Mesut Ozil which is not acceptable by Unai Emery.
The former PSG boss is furious that the 30-year-old earns the highest wages of £350,000-a-week but has been on the bench for most of the games with just 13 starts overall.
The Spanish boss has been severally criticized for taking the Ozil situation too personal but he has come out to dismiss such insinuations that all that are needed to be decided are in the hands of the star player.
Unai Emery adds that should Mesut Ozil become more consistent in his game, including training and matches without any injury, he would be well considered for selections.
He made it clear that without the above mentioned, Mesut Ozil cannot be seen on the pitch because his best would not be offered.
However, there are suggestions that the star player will be given the nod to start the Europa League tie against BATE on Thursday.
